Our organisation
The Matchis Foundation ensures that patients with leukemia and other serious blood disorders who need to undergo a stem cell transplant receive the most suitable donor as quickly as possible.

This transplant is necessary for patients to survive. If no suitable donor is found, there is a good chance they will die.
Matchis Foundation
Matchis Foundation is a non-profit organization that has had ANBI status since 2008. The core business is building, educating and maintaining the stem cell donor database in the Netherlands. In addition, we are responsible for importing and issuing stem cell products donated by donors registered with Matchis.
Since 2023, a conscious decision has been made to transfer fundraising for Matchis to the Matchis Stem Cell Donation Fund. The primary goal of this fund is to raise as much money as possible for the Matchis Foundation. The funds that are raised are used entirely for the recruitment activities of new stem cell donors.
The core values of the Matchis Foundation are Idealistic, Driven, Expert, Dedicated. Core values that must be demonstrably reflected in all our actions.

Integrity Code and Whistleblower Scheme
In addition to procedures and rules relating to professional requirements, independence and integrity, we also have a code of conduct (integrity code) that describes what we stand for and what is expected of us. This code of conduct is based on our values and describes how we should behave in various circumstances and situations. We strive for a transparent and ethical corporate culture, in which matters can be discussed and we want to show our peers, other stakeholders and society who we are and what we stand for. Compliance with the code of conduct is not optional: everyone who works for Matchis has the responsibility to comply with the code of conduct and to help others to do so as well.
You can download our integrity code here (in Dutch).
The Whistleblower Scheme aims to safely raise (suspicions of) abuses or incidents within Matchis and to handle them adequately and carefully, so that the reporter is protected and appropriate measures can be taken in a timely manner.
You can download our whistleblower scheme here (in Dutch).

In 2020, our strategic plan for the coming years was published. Based on an evaluation, we look back, but of course we also look forward. What lines does Matchis set, what are the expectations, what course will we take? It is set out in our strategic plan.
